In Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree, Pooh gets a bit rumbly in the tumbly, but finds that eating too much honey can lead to some very uncomfortable complications when he gets stuck in Rabbit’s house and is forced to stay there until he slims down. In Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day, a storm is gathering when Pooh meets Tigger for the first time and learns that Tiggers are wonderful things. But Tigger’s tales of honey-stealing Heffalumps and Woozles lead to a restless night for Pooh. As the rain continues, all the friends in the Hundred Acre Wood band together to help each other weather the storm. Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too finds the boisterous Tigger bouncing to excess, and has his friends wondering whether they should try to de-bounce him a bit – to humorous effect! Cast: Sterling Holloway (Winnie the Pooh), Paul Winchell (Tigger), John Fiedler (Piglet), Junius Matthews (Rabbit), Barbara Luddy (Kanga), Howard Morris (Gopher), Ralph Wright (Eeyore), Hal Smith (Owl), Clint Howard (Roo), Bruce Reitherman (Christopher Robin), Jon Walmsley (Christopher Robin), Timothy Turner (Christopher Robin), and Sebastian Cabot (Narrator) Songs: “Winnie The Pooh,” “Up, Down, and Touch the Ground,” “Rumbly In My Tumbly,” “Little Black Rain Cloud,” “Mind Over Matter,” “A Rather Blustery Day,” “The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers,” “Heffalumps and Woozles,” “The Rain, Rain, Rain Came Down, Down, Down,” “Hip Hip Pooh-Ray” Directed by Wolfgang Reitherman and John Lounsbery. Released on March 11, 1977. US Home Media Releases: June 26, 1981 (VHS); 1982 (LD); March 27, 1996 (VHS/LD); May 7, 2002 (DVD/VHS); June 19, 2007 (DVD); August 27, 2013 (BR/DVD); Trivia: • Frames: 106,560 • Winnie the Pooh was the most complex character to animate, as it was difficult to simulate the stiff joint movements of a teddy bear. • As the film was essentially a re-release of three separate Winnie the Pooh featurettes, the original voice of Christopher Robin was redubbed to be British to maintain a closer reference to the character’s English origins.
