One of the most critically-acclaimed entries in the Star Wars saga returned for its epic conclusion with twelve all-new episodes on Disney+. But it all started with Star Wars: Clone Wars, the animated television micro-series set during the Clone Wars and developed and drawn by Genndy Tartakovsky. Originally produced and released between the films Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, it is amongst the first of many works to explore the conflict known as the Clone Wars, and directly leads to the events of Revenge of the Sith. The show follows the actions of various characters from the Star Wars prequel trilogy, notably Jedi and clone troopers, in their war against the battle droid armies of the Separatist Confederacy and the Sith. The series has received critical acclaim and won multiple awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program. Its success led to it being spun off as the twenty two minutes to half-hour CGI series Star Wars The Clone Wars series from Dave Filoni, director and executive producer of “The Mandalorian.”
Created by Genndy Tartakovsky, based on characters by George Lucas, Story by Bryan Andrews, Darrick Bachman, Paul Rudish, and Genndy Tartakovsky, “Star Wars: Clone Wars” stars Matt Lucas as “Anakin Skywalker,” James Arnold Taylor as “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” Terrence C. Carson as “Mace Windu,” Tom Kane as “Yoda,” Corey Burton as “Count Dooku,” Grey DeLisle as “Asajj Ventress,” Nick Jameson as “Palpatine,” Grey DeLisle as “Padmé Amidala,” Grey DeLisle as “Shaak Ti,” Anthony Danilels as C-3PO,” Tyler McCready "The Shape Shifter" as the clone troopers originally played by André Sogliuzzo, and Thomas Williams as “General Grievous” originally played by John DiMaggio and Richard McGonagle.
