Synopsis
Happy End is a fairytale for adults about five people who currently stands at the crossroad that forever will change the paths of their lives. Jonna, Peter, Katrine, Asger and Mårten are all people with an important liaison to one another, but who are avoiding to be truthful. They are all living in a world of shadows, lined by lies and falsities and are only waiting for the truth to appear so that they may be able to continue their lives in another direction.
Director's Biography
Björn started working with film at the age of 20, working for director Roy Andersson. He graduated from the Swedish Film Institute Dramatiska institutet, majoring in directing. Runge won the Guldbagge award for Best Director and Best Script for DAYBREAK in 2004. It was also given the Silver Bear in Berlin 2004 and the Blue Angel for Best European Film. In 2005 MOUTH TO MOUTH premiered and got consistently very good reviews. Björn Runge has also worked with directing at theatres in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Between the years 2006-2009 he wrote three books for the publisher Filmkonst. During the summer of 2010 Runger was filming the feature film HAPPY END. Runge is also in the process of planning more plays in both Gothenburg and Stockholm
